National honour for our support workers
Two of our Health Care Support Workers - Simon Odegah and Lynn Connell – have been honoured with a Chief Nursing Officer Support Worker Excellence Award.
These national awards recognise the vital contribution of the role and our colleagues’ exceptional support of nursing practice.
Simon – who works on Drayton (Rockwood) Ward was nominated for his commitment to patient care, ‘always going the extra mile’ and his support of fellow support workers who are new in the role.
Lynn – who works in ITU - was nominated for her work supporting the unit during and after the pandemic and ‘going above and beyond’ to always ensure the unit had the correct resources to deliver excellent patient care.
Both were presented with their awards at a ceremony in London by Jane Clegg, the Regional Chief Nurse.
Our Nursing Team is so proud that Simon and Lynn’s outstanding achievements have been recognised nationally.
