Minister comes to Hillingdon to see plans for our new hospital

We were delighted this week to welcome health minister, Edward Argar, and talk him through the plans for our new hospital.

It was a great opportunity to talk Mr Argar, who has responsibility for the new hospital building program, through the plans for our new hospital and coincided with a new announcement on the new hospital programme

It also comes as the trust continues to call on local people, patients and staff to give their views on the plans. We would love to hear from as many people as possible so please do have a look through our public exhibition and give your feedback.

The aim is to build a new, modern, 21st-century hospital for the residents of Hillingdon, and beyond, which supports the very best in delivery of healthcare.

It will provide the same range of services that we have now, but with improvements made possible by modern, purpose-built facilities.

Local residents can visit the new Hillingdon Hospital website to find out more and give their views.

Jason Seez, redevelopment project senior responsible officer, said: “We were delighted to show the minister around, talk him through our plans, and the progress we’ve made so far.

“We really want to hear from local people what you think. There is a range of information on the new building in our exhibition so please do take a look and give us feedback.”

Professor Abbas Khakoo, redevelopment project clinical lead, said:

“The people of Hillingdon, our patients and our staff deserve a new hospital so it’s really exciting for colleagues here to show the Minister the potential our new hospital has to improve patient care and their experience.

“The new Hillingdon Hospital is a brilliant opportunity to make a range of improvements in how we can look after our patients.”
