Redevelopment of Hillingdon Hospital

In January 2025, the Government announced that the redevelopment of Hillingdon Hospital will proceed in wave one of New Hospital Programme (NHP) - this was a significant milestone for our staff, patients and community.

We are one of a small number of schemes nationally and the only in London that has been selected to progress in wave one. 

The Government also advised that all new hospital builds are expected to be compliant with the NHP's Hospital 2.0 design guidelines. This is a standardised blueprint that has been developed with input from over 1,000 clinicians, Royal Colleges, healthcare staff and patients across the country. It reflects recent developments in technology and aims to reduce construction time and costs.

Since the announcement we have been working with the NHP team and our clinicians to update our design to ensure compliance with Hospital 2.0. This means that our new hospital will look different from earlier designs that you may have seen.
