Karin Smyth says new hospital is much-needed and welcomes progress on redevelopment

The CQC recognised improvements at Hillingdon Hospital and noted ‘significant progress at Mount Vernon Hospital, where both urgent and emergency and surgery services have improved 

Our Trust was again voted the best acute trust for food, as judged by patients and staff.

We have been awarded funding through the New Hospital Programme to develop a digital health solution for stroke rehabilitation. In collaboration with Reneural (a neurotech company dedicated to transforming stroke recovery) and Brunel University London, we are developing an innovative digital solution for clinicians and patients, allowing physiotherapists and occupational therapists to remotely interact with patients to treat and monitor stroke rehabilitation.

The trophy was awarded to our Trust for our ongoing efforts in the field of sustainability, net zero strategy and waste reduction and presented, as a surprise extra honour, at the Metsä 2025 Sustainability Awards
