Work to upgrade the sewage system at Hillingdon Hospital

Work to upgrade the sewage system at Hillingdon in preparation for redevelopment of the hospital is planned to start on Monday 31 January.

The project will require the closure of the main entrance to vehicles for four months. Work is expected to be completed in May 2022.

Patients and those visitors allowed under the current restrictions, who arrive by car, will be directed by signs to the staff car park entrance in Royal Lane, then onward to the public parking area, which will be separated by temporary fencing.

Usual parking rules will apply to the pay-and-display areas.

There will be the loss of a small number of spaces in the public car park alongside Pield Heath Road, where a works compound will be stationed.

The HATS patient transport ambulance service will be able to collect and drop off patients as close to the main door as possible, next to the main entrance ramp.
