Iran Jahanbakhsh receives chief nurse's Allied Health Profession award

Iran Jahanbakhsh, operating department practitioner at Hillingdon Hospital, has been awarded Sarah Burton, chief nurse's, annual Allied Health Profession (AHP) award.

Presenting the award, Sarah said: "This individual was nominated for her exceptional commitment to our patients, colleagues and the future of AHP. She consistently goes above and beyond ensuring that both care and education are delivered to the highest possible standard.

She has developed a training programme for operating department practitioners and students linking world renowned hospitals such as Great Ormond Street Hospital and Imperial College Healthcare to work in collaboration with every student."

This award was presented as part of our AHP day celebrations which is celebrated on 14 October every year. This is an opportunity to recognise the hard work, passion and care undertaken - AHPs are the third largest workforce in the NHS and we are proud to have 7 of the 14 professions employed by our Trust.
