Sipple – exciting new way to keep hydrated thanks to high tech devices

There’s water and then there’s …. water. Raise a glass to our Facilities Team and their latest move to reduce waste and increase sustainability: say ‘cheers’ to Sipple.

Sipple is a plastic-free water dispenser which offers purified, chilled H2O delivered straight into your water bottle, in measures of 500ml to one litre, free of charge for the standard product.

Want some fizz? You can carbonate for a small fee, and you can pay using contactless technology. If you want a stylish Sipple-branded bottle, that’s stainless steel and insulated,  it’s yours for £20 from the machine or by clicking here – or just bring your own favourite water bottle along to the ‘Hydration Station’, as they’re known.

The filtered water inside is UV-light purified, and apart from placing your bottle, the process is hands-free for hygiene. Nor can the neck of the bottle touch the water outlet.

Hyder Mohammad, Head of Sustainability said: “We think these Sipple Hydration Stations will be popular with our patients and staff alike.

“We are always looking for improvements that also increase our sustainability as a Trust and reduce our carbon footprint and we’ll be monitoring their use carefully as part of the year-long trial period. If you work at Hillingdon and use them, please let us know what you think.”
