Junior doctor strikes: 13-16 March

Industrial action means these some of our services will be under increased pressure so it is vital that people use the services available appropriately.

Regardless of any strike action taking place, patients who need urgent medical care should continue to come forward as normal, especially in emergency and life-threatening cases - when someone is seriously ill or injured, or their life is at risk.

Some appointments and procedures will be cancelled during this time, to enable safe cover of care. If we have not contacted you, please attend your appointment as planned.

GP services are not impacted by this strike action. Please continue to attend your GP appointments, unless you are contacted and told otherwise.

If you need medical help, continue to use NHS111, and in emergencies call 999.

Patient and visitors

Coming to hospital can be daunting and confusing, no matter how old you are or how many times you have been in the past. We aim to offer the best patient experience for people who use our services, whether you are an outpatient or day patient, staying in hospital (inpatient) or visiting someone in hospital

Where is your appointment?

Your appointment may be virtual (over a computer or smartphone), or at either of our hospitals (Hillingdon Hospital or Mount Vernon Hospital). Please check your appointment letter to see where and how you are expected to attend your appointment.

Are you going into the hospital?

Hospitals are big places. There are signposts in the hospitals to help you find where you want to go and our staff are there to help, so will be more than happy to point you in the right direction. We also have a team of volunteers with identity badges on who will be happy to help you out.
