Software upgrade will briefly halt calls to hospital

The Digital Services Team at Hillingdon Hospital will be upgrading key software on Tuesday 20 June from 5-7am.

There will be a downtime of 30 minutes within the specified window, which requires a complete outage for Hillingdon Hospital – computers, telecoms, bleeps etc.

During the 30min outage nobody will be able to call the hospital, in Pield Heath Road.

Staff have been fully briefed and patient care will continue as normal, with contingency plans in place to ensure internal communications.

We are asking family members and other stakeholders to be aware that they might not be able to call the hospital for a period during the two-hour window.

The public should use the NHS111 service as normal when seeking medical advice or call 999 in an emergency.
