Tea party fun marks Dementia Action Week

Patients enjoyed tea, cakes and games as part of Dementia Action Week activities at Hillingdon.

Toni Samargiu, Dementia CNS, thanked our charity for funding and Facilities Catering for the goodies’ enjoyed at two tea parties last week, one on Franklin Ward and one on Beaconsfield East Ward. Guests were able to play games and activities using a ‘magic table’ projector which throws images on to a table and plays music. The two media are used to stimulate memories for the users.

Toni said: “It was a fantastic way to get together with patients and their relatives to provide some insight and awareness about dementia and to know what resources are available.

“We had great feedback from the patients, and they really enjoyed the ‘magic table’ and the goodies.”
