Visiting restrictions due to norovirus
We currently have visiting restrictions in place to protect our patients due to the high incidence of contagious norovirus stomach bug in the community and the hospital. We appreciate your understanding during this time.
Visitors are asked to:
- Please visit the hospital only if it is absolutely necessary, and preferably if you are a family member.
- Limit your visit to one ward or clinical area only.
- If you have had a stomach bug with diarrhoea or vomiting, or if you have been in close contact with someone who has experienced these symptoms, please do not visit or attend the hospital.
It is essential that all visitors wash their hands with hot water and soap, as hand gel is NOT effective against the norovirus.
