Well done Macaria, a perfect meeter and greeter
Macaria Fernandes is one of our new ‘meet and greet’ volunteers at Hillingdon main reception. She helps patients who arrive at hospital and one of them left a lovely compliment for the help she received.
She wrote: "On arriving at hospital having problems with my breathing, a very nice young lady helped me to the Cardiology Department. She was very nice, polite and friendly. Her name is Macaria."
Thais Curia, volunteer services manager, said: “This is what our CARES values are all about! Thank you not only to Macaria, but to our 132 volunteers who always represent the Trust so well with our patients, their families and staff.”
If you know of someone who would make a good volunteer, please share this story with them and you can find out more about volunteering at our Trust here.
