North West London Acute Provider Group
On 1 April 2026, the four acute NHS trusts in North West London came together formally as an Acute Provider Group.
The Group is made up of The Hillingdon Hospitals, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare and London North West University Healthcare.

While we remain separate organisations, the move to a Group reflects our commitment to simplifying and speeding up our shared decision-making for the benefit of our patients, local communities, and staff. It will help us make the best possible use of our collective resources, expertise, and influence.
We have a single accountable officer, known as the group chief executive, as well as a single chair and a board in common. The group chief executive, Professor Tim Orchard, will work with colleagues on wider engagement to develop the best possible group leadership structure, with the right balance of local and overarching leadership. Each trust will continue to have its own chief executive who will report to the group chief executive and remain a key partner to our local stakeholders.
The first phase of staff engagement
Over the past few weeks, we have been asking you for your views on how we can best work as a Group and what we should prioritise. It's already clear that the individual identities of our organisations are important to all of you, and we want to be clear in response - each of our organisations, each of our hospitals, has a different but equally important role to play in enabling us to provide great care to everyone in North West London.
We're currently analysing all of your feedback from the recent engagement, and we will share the full findings after our first Group board meeting on Tuesday 28 April. We will also share - our priorities for 2026/27.
