Cold weather coming, warm welcome assured
When it’s cold, there will always be a warm place to go in our community.
The UK Health Security Agency has issued a cold weather alert for Wednesday 1 January to Saturday 4 January, 2025.
The BBC is forecasting temperatures of around four degrees C during the day across the period, with the thermometer plunging to minus three degrees overnight on Thursday and Friday.
Hillingdon Council has plentiful advice on keeping warm in winter and lists its ‘warm welcome centres’ – described as ‘free, warm and welcoming places for residents to visit during the colder winter days’.
