Hillingdon Hospital surgeon recognised for dedication and expertise

One of the Trust's leading surgeons has been elected to prestigious positions within the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCSEng).

Yasser Mohsen has been elected Chair of the Court of Examiners, a key role in shaping the future of surgical training in England. 

He will also join the College Council, a governing body that sets the strategic direction for the RCSEng, which strives to advance surgical excellence.

"I am deeply honoured to be entrusted with these responsibilities," Mr Mohsen said. "I am particularly grateful to my colleagues at Hillingdon Hospital and across the UK for their support and trust. 

"This is a testament to the dedication and excellence of our surgical team here at Hillingdon." 

Mr Mohsen further acknowledged the hospital's management for their encouragement of his national and international endeavours, which have significantly elevated Hillingdon's profile within the surgical community.

Mr Mohsen brings a wealth of experience to his new roles. He has served as a surgical tutor and examiner for over 15 years, playing a crucial role in the development of future generations of surgeons.

He has also held leadership positions as a Surgical and Bowel Cancer Clinical Lead and Caldicott Guardian, demonstrating his commitment to patient care and safety. 

His election to the RCSEng leadership underscores Hillingdon's commitment to providing high-quality surgical care and his involvement in shaping surgical training will benefit not only Hillingdon patients but also patients across the country.
