London's 'top doctor' praises staff during visit
We welcomed Dr Chris Streather, regional medical director for London, to Hillingdon for an informal visit with the opportunity to visit several ward areas and meet the staff.
He was escorted on a tour of the Emergency Department, Intensive Therapy Unit, Bumblebee children's inpatient ward and Jersey Ward by Dr Gubby Ayida, Trust medical director.
Gubby said: “It was a real pleasure to welcome Chris Streather to Hillingdon and show him around our wards and for him to hear directly from staff about some of the great work we are doing here.”
Gubby reported how impressed Chris was with how upbeat the teams he met had been, even when sharing some of the challenges they face.
The visit ended with a meeting with Patricia Wright, Trust CEO.
