Masks no longer mandatory in most clinical areas

As the Covid-19 situation improves, in a further move towards normality masks will no longer be required to be worn by patients, visitors and staff in most clinical areas of Hillingdon and Mount Vernon hospitals from Wednesday 26 April.

The exceptions are:

  • A&E
  • ITU
  • Acute Respiratory Care Unit (ARCU)
  • haematology/oncology wards and departments (Bevan, Medical Haematology Day Unit, Bumblebee, Rainbow)
  • theatres
  • endoscopy.

These changes are in line with other hospitals in the NW London sector.
