New hospital promotion hits the high street

Plans for the new Hillingdon Hospital were on show to the public at the Love Summer Festival in Uxbridge last week.

The team behind the project set up a stall in Uxbridge High Street as part of the festival, and pent three days chatting to passers-by, explaining the plans for the new hospital and getting feedback from as many people as possible.

All the feedback will be used to support a public exhibition which is a vital part of a planning application due to be submitted next month.

The new Hillingdon hospital is a once in a lifetime opportunity to build a new, modern, 21st-century hospital for the residents of Hillingdon, and beyond, which supports the very best in delivery of healthcare.

Professor Abbas Khakoo (above, left), Hillingdon Hospitals Redevelopment Project Clinical Lead, said: “The people of Hillingdon, our patients and our staff deserve a new hospital so it was really exciting to be able to show you the potential our new hospital has to improve patient care and their experience. The new Hillingdon Hospital is a brilliant opportunity to make a range of improvements in how we can look after our patients.”
