New mask rules for our hospitals
Masks are no longer mandatory in non-clinical areas in Hillingdon and Mount Vernon hospitals. However, patients, visitors and staff must continue wearing a mask in clinical areas.
Because Covid-19 admissions have subsided recently, we have been able to relax our mask-wearing rules. These measures are in line with other Trusts in the NW London sector. They take effect today (Tuesday 14 February).
Masks will continue to be available in clinical areas. Please follow hand hygiene procedures before putting on or taking off your mask.
Please discard your mask in a bin when leaving a clinical area and put on a fresh one when entering a different clinical area.
