QPR players bring festive cheer to young patients

Players from Queens Park Rangers (QPR) Football Club visited Hillingdon Hospital, bringing smiles and festive spirit to young patients and their families.

They spent time on Bumblebee ward chatting with children and parents, posing for photos, signing autographs, and handing out gifts including toys, games, colouring books, and QPR merchandise. The team also left presents for children being cared for in other parts of our hospital.

Julien Stéphan, Alou Diarra, Steve Bould, Paul Nardi, Karamoko Dembele, Ridwan Hassan and Timmy Akindileni were joined by club mascots Jude the Cat and Spark the Tiger.

Alison Batten, play specialist on Bumblebee ward, said her first Christmas at Hillingdon Hospital had been a busy and exciting one:
We have been so well supported by our community, with gifts, entertainers, music and now our traditional visit from QPR. It was wonderful to see the players and staff interacting with our young patients - who loved the mascots, of course - and bringing even more festive cheer to the ward.
A QPR spokesperson said:
Our players love being Santa Claus to the young patients and their families, and we get a real buzz from making their stay in hospital a bit brighter. QPR is a club at the heart of its community, and Hillingdon Hospital serves that community, so we will always give them our support. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to the patients, staff and their families.

The visit was part of QPR's ongoing commitment to supporting the local community and spreading joy to young fans during the festive season. For families and staff alike, it was a magical moment that turned an ordinary hospital day into something truly special.
