Trust again voted the best for food

Our Trust was again voted the best acute trust for food, as judged by patients and staff.
NHS England published the annual results of patient-led assessment of the care environment (PLACE) last month. Trusts scored 91 per cent on average on both ward and organisation food combined. The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust again received full marks, and no other Trust got this high a rating.
A team of patients and staff judged the scores on food in the trust environment, awarding our Trust with the highest grade out of 1,107 assessments undertaken in 2024.
Steve Wedgwood, director of operational estates and facilities, said:
"This is a fantastic endorsement of our excellent patient food, as judged by patient and their representatives and the Estates & Facilities in-house catering team. It is the second year in succession that we have been top in the country and is recognition of the work that the Trust catering team does every single day with our patient meal providers at Apetito."
