Boris visited Hillingdon Hospital plan

Local MP Boris Johnson gave a double boost to Hillingdon Hospital yesterday as he came to see plans for our new hospital and promote the autumn covid booster by getting his vaccine at our hub.

Mr Johnson met Deputy Chief Executive, Jason Seez, and senior responsible officer for the redevelopment project for an update on the new hospital before heading over to the vaccine hub to get his covid booster from Vaccine Nurse, Carolyn Smith.

Mr Johnson said:

“It was fantastic to be back again at Hillingdon Hospital to hear about the exciting developments underway as we build our new, state of the art healthcare facility. It was also a great opportunity to join over one million Londoners in having my autumn Covid-19 booster jab – and with the winter flu season approaching, I’d urge everyone over 50 to get their Covid-19 and flu vaccines as soon as possible.”

Mr Seez added:

“There’s massive support from stakeholders across the board for this project and it was great to be able to update our local MP on the plans and hear his support for the new hospital. We were doubly delighted we could offer him a covid booster too. The Covid-19 autumn booster will help you stay well this winter so please get one if you are offered it.”

What is the new Hillingdon Hospital?

The plans for a new Hillingdon Hospital propose a state-of-the-art hospital for the residents of Hillingdon, and beyond, which supports the very best in delivery of healthcare.

It will have the same mix of services as currently available at Hillingdon Hospital; be built in the same location (next to the current hospital) and the current hospital will remain open during construction.

This summer, the new Hillingdon Hospital project passed a major milestone as the trust submitted a planning application for the new hospital. To look at our plans and have your say, visit the Hillingdon Hospital redevelopment exhibition page.
